Dare to See!

Recognising Signs and Prevention of Violence against Children

Projekt Dare2see is co-financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Dare2see project was designed with the aim of raising awareness about child abuse and violence against children that occurs outside the school environment; and improving its detection and prevention within the educational system. Existing studies, discussions, and workshops on this topic have not brought about significant changes in recognizing and responding to cases of abuse and violence.

Dare2see, which carries the call “Dare to see!” in its name, was developed as a training program for professionals in kindergartens and primary schools, with the goal of understanding the reasons for difficulties in recognizing abuse and violence; and finding solutions. The project strives to mobilize forces within the educational environment and promote reflection and action despite potential obstacles.

Education and Training

The learning materials, available in PDF format and as e-materials, cover theoretical foundations, legislative frameworks, and, most importantly, practical examples and guidelines on how to recognize and respond to child abuse and violence against children. The materials will help you more easily identify different forms and signs of child abuse and violence against children, the tasks and responsibilities of individual staff members in educational institutions, the necessary steps in handling abuse and violence, and the importance and necessity of cooperation with other institutions.

The materials are tailored to each group based on their tasks and responsibilities in the educational process, as well as the age of the children.
